Tulip Ballerina is an award-winning and a very popular tulip type! This gorgeous lily-shaped tulip has all the essential qualities of a perfect tulip – a stunning orange colour with yellow margins, a delightful scent and can be planted in the garden, in the flowerpot or used as cut flowers! This tulip loves full sunlight and a medium moisture soil. For a spectacular visual effect, try planting them in small groups!

This tulip effortlessly naturalizes on its own for many years to come. Ballerina blooms in late spring (in May) and grows quite tall, 45-55 cm. When the flowers are fully open, they resemble dazzling six pointed stars!

Other information

  • First loosen the soil well where the flower bulbs will be planted. Then the soil is easier to work with.
  • Dig a hole and make sure it is 2 to 3 times as deep as the height of the tulip bulbs.
  • For the distance between the bulbs, make sure it is 2 times the diameter of the bulbs.
  • Plant the flower bulbs in the hole with the pointed side facing up or with the root base facing down.
  • Cover the tulip bulbs with soil and water them well.
