The Anemone coronaria St. Brigid mixture is the double-flowered equivalent of Anemone De Caen. This is a beautiful mixture of the familiar anemone colours. Anemones are also called wind flowers (‘anemos’ = wind in Greek language) and are part of the buttercup family. Anemones are capable of everything, they are hardy, they naturalise and they flower all summer long. They also live long when cut for a colourful bouquet. Place the anemone bulbs in water for a couple of hours before you plant them in your garden or flowerpot. Anemone St. Brigid normally consists of the following varieties: Anemone Mount Everest (white), Anemone Governor (red), Anemone Lord Lieutenant (royal blue) and Anemone Admiral (lilac).
